A Read-A-Thon is a school fundraising idea that encourages lifelong reading habits among students. During the fundraiser, students try to read as much as they can, logging their time spent reading while friends and family members make donations to support their efforts.
We've chosen Read-A-Thon because it gives your child a reason to read, builds community, helps in the development of stronger reading skills, fosters a love of reading, helps students learn new things, and it is easy for everyone to participate.
Our Read-A-Thon starts Monday December 2 and ends on December 20th 2024
The winning homeroom that raises the most funds will get their Pizza Party Paid for on a Gray Elementary Food Celebration Day.
Teachers will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page in the near future. Please look for it in your child’s backpack. They are very user friendly. This is where you will be able to view and record reading progress. Once you scan the QR code on the flier, you can then select the Language tab on the right side in the black box, and you change the language option to Spanish or another option.
