Thank you to all of the parents, caretakers, teachers, and neighbors who have volunteered on the Gray School Safety Watch team since October 14th.  
 
Starting December 1st, the team is shifting to “Readiness Mode” and will continue carpool and food pantry efforts as needed, to keep all Gray families safe. Although we are suspending the daily corner watch for now, we will remain at the ready to respond to any active ICE action, and reactivate corner watch efforts if needed.

 ASPEN PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT SET-UP (time required-5 minutes)
 
Email Set-Up Process
  1. 1. The parent clicks the Click here link in the email after copying the security code using CTRL-C and is prompted to choose the account type.  Finally, click Next Step.
  2. 2. Enter or paste (CTRL-) the generated security code in the email. Click Next Step. 
  3. 3. The parent is presented with their current contact data; click Next Step. 
  4. 4. The parent is prompted with account information. They can then set a password and a security question in Spanish or English. Click Create My Account.
  5. 5. The parent sees a screen verifying that the account has been processed.
  6. 6. Account Request Processed window appears.
  7. 7. The parent clicks Close.
  8. 8. The parent is then brought to the Aspen confirmation screen, where they are told that their account creation and validation were successful.

***Note: If a parent sees the following pop-up, they have already verified their account and should proceed to step 9. Also, please be careful to remember your password and security question. 

  1. The parent clicks Close and goes to aspen.cps.edu.
  2. Parent logs in to Parent Portal with as Login ID (their email address) and their newly created password
  3. Parent enter their child's First Name and Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY). 
  4. The parent then clicks Submit to gain access to their child's information.
  5. The parent sees a success message and is directed to the Home Page to see their child’s information.
  6. At this point, the parent is given immediate access to their child’s Attendance, Grades, and Assignments.  
  7. The next time the parent views their Home Page (same session or next login), the widget is gone unless they have more students to connect to.  Repeat step 11 if this is the case.

School-Based Health Centers offer convenient healthcare services right inside school buildings. CPS works with community health organizations to operate 32 centers across Chicago. These centers provide high-quality, accessible, and age-appropriate healthcare to both elementary and high school students. Some centers also extend their services to the surrounding community and neighboring schools.
