Technology Magnet Cluster Program

 

A Technology Magnet Cluster School integrates STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) throughout the curriculum.

 

Exemplary Level 1+ Fine Arts Program (Art, Music, Dance)

 

Through grants, partnerships, arts integration n classrooms, performances, arts exhibits, parent engagement, and increasing our students' minutes of arts programming per week, we have been able to steadily grow our Fine Arts programs.

 

Grades 5-8:  Computer Science Program

 

Instruction includes computer programming, digital citizenship, productivity software, and multimedia editing.

 

Grades 5-8:  PBIS (Problem Based Inquiry Science Program)

 

Students practice science in the classroom the way that scientists and engineers do. They work in collaborative groups to iteratively solve problems and explore challenges.  Science and engineering practices are not just found in isolated inquiry activities, but permeate the entire curriculum.  Partner School with Dyson Foundation to Support STEM instruction.

 

Grades 5-8:  State of the art Teach to One Personalized Math Instruction 

 

Students experience a variety of instructional approaches and can be continually regrouped with other students who share common needs.

 

Grades K-4: ST Computerized Math program

 

Students engage in a visual instructional program that builds a deep conceptual understanding of math through rigorous learning and creative problem solving to engage, motivate and challenge students toward higher achievement.

 

All classes have Promethean Boards and integrated iPads/Chromebooks
