Parent Volunteer

CPS requires all volunteers be approved prior to chaperoning fieldtrips or participating in school activities. 

 

It is recommended that potential chaperones begin the process a month

before of a scheduled ​field trip or a school event.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: 

 

On the last day of June, all volunteers are removed from the system. 

 

It is recommend for parents/guardians to reapply as soon as classes begin in August if they want to continue accompanying their child on field trips or a school activity.

 

 

If you previously were a parent volunteer:

-  Click here to start application

-  Select Gray Elementary

-  Take your picture ID to the Primary Office (Door 1).  

 

If you are a new parent volunteer:

-  New application has to be created.  Click here

-  After the application is completed, login again and select Gray Elementary.

-  Take your picture ID to the Primary Office (Door 1).

 

 

Please note that if you do not select Gray elementary in the application, the application is not completed.

 

 

Make sure to select Level II Volunteer. 

Level II volunteers are: 

- Day field trip chaperones.

- Assistants in schools with administrative duties.

- Other volunteer activities in contact with students while supervised.

 

 

A fingerprint criminal background check is not required for Level II Volunteers.
